MANILA, Philippines - Aprilyn “Congratulations” Gustilo and Monique “Pak” Natada, members of the “WW. Girls” of “Willing-Willie,” are suspended from the show because, of all things, a lipstick.
PEP reported via its Scoopbox on Nov. 3 that the two dancers were suspended---not by the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB)---but by the show’s executive producer, Jay Montelibano. They are said to have figured in a catfight after the show’s Nov. 1 episode over Pak’s missing lipstick. The report added that exhaustion might’ve contributed to the misunderstanding.
Although the two have supposedly patched things up, Montelibano, who’s the former business unit head of the defunct Kapamilya noontime show “Wowowee,” reportedly decided to push through with their suspension in order to discipline them---a move which Montelibano also deems to serve as a lesson to the rest of the “WW. Girls.”
Congrulations and Pak’s suspension is effective from Tuesday, Nov. 2, until Saturday, Nov. 6.
Apart from the two, Jana Camille Trajano, Lovely Abella, Aiko Climaco, Chiastine Faye Perez, Tezza Santos, Wsmeah Esteban, Samantha Flores, Yvette Coral, Kristel Espiritu, Monette Jimenez, Karen Vicente, Karen Ortua, Dang Palma, Hannah Bayani, Frances Mary Villamin Verde, Jenny Tecson, Debbie Garcia, Bea Marie, and Sami Bii also compose the group of host Willie Revillame’s dancers.
Several of these dancers were part of “Wowowee”’s “ASF Dancers.” They are said to have resigned from ABS-CBN and followed Revillame when he had a falling-out with his mother network and moved to TV5. Their choreographer, Anna Feliciano, was also from “Wowowee.”
